Position: Community Vegan Chef / Educator

  • Location: Buckinghamshire (High Wycombe and surrounding areas)

We’re on a mission to transform lives naturally and holistically by promoting the benefits of a wholefood vegan diet. Our initiatives include community nutrition-focused cooking classes, health-focused projects, reduction of food waste and food poverty, vegan talks, pop-up meals, and markets.


Role and Responsibilities

As a Community Vegan Chef Educator, you’ll play a vital role in inspiring and empowering individuals to embrace a healthy lifestyle and perhaps plant-based living.



You will :

1.Teach Vegan Cooking Classes:

  • Lead engaging and interactive cooking sessions for community members.

  • Cater to varying levels of cooking ability in a friendly and non-judgmental manner.

  • Use everyday equipment and accessible ingredients.

  • Guide groups of up to 25 people in creating delicious plant-based dishes.

  • End each session with everyone enjoying the meal together. 2. Represent Our Company:

  • Maintain a professional demeanor while representing Khepera CIC.

  • Share your passion for the vegan message indirectly, through knowledge and practical skills. 3. Organizational Skills:

  • Manage assistants, assign class duties, and oversee class setup and cleanup.

  • Adhere to health and safety standards, including safeguarding and food hygiene.

  • Provide session feedback, including attendee numbers and insights. 4. Qualifications and Attributes:

  • Advocate for inclusivity: Ability to work equally with individuals regardless of age, ability, race, sex, socio-economical status.

  • Passionate Vegan Advocate: Share the vegan message with enthusiasm, and compassion.

  • Cooking Expertise: Experience in cooking healthy, vegan meals with the ability to design recipes.

  • Teaching Experience: Previous teaching experience is advantageous.

  • Professional and Friendly: Committed, enthusiastic, and adaptable.

  • Organized: Excellent time management and organizational skills.

  • Innovative and Patient: Plan and deliver fun, interactive 3-hour cooking classes. Also involvement in other projects such as gleaning and future food related projects.

  • Certifications: Food hygiene. Awareness of health and safety and nutrition, preferably certified.

  • Own Transport: Essential for traveling to different locations. 5. Background Checks:

  • Enhanced and standard DBS checks will be conducted for both children and adults.

  • Adherence to safeguarding policies.

  • References will be required
