COMMUNITY PROJECTS

HEADSTART TO HEALTH

Group, family and individual cooking lessons in High Wycombe, Bucks - with discussions over a meal, consisting of our beautifully prepared dishes.

Based on plant based foods we share vital practical tips for those who want to feed themselves & their family better.

We also share elements of our

Feedback Global

sponsored course "Ecowise", covering food choices, waste reduction for climate change & a healthier environment.

BACK ON TRACK

Improving the health of community in High Wycombe is our main aim.

As physical health affects, and is affected by financial, employment, past or mental health issues among other stressors.  Our Back On Track programme of weekly support, helps attendees look at the root causes to their issues.

Sharing tools, food tips for healthy body & mind gives people the confidence to make changes.

FOODIE FRIDAYS

We believe learning how much eating well impacts our health, from a young age is vital.  So, in partnership with Mama Bee Group, we run monthly cooking & social sessions for young people 11 to 19 years old - Foodie Fridays

Fun, interactive sessions where teens share skills learnt with the community, via a pop up restaurant run by the young people.
During the pandemic we have gone online with Foodie Fridays Kitchen Takeover #FFKT.

GLEANING

As part of Feedback Global's national campaign to reduce food waste - we run annual gleaning days in Buckinghamshire, harvesting  surplus produce from farms and redistributing to local community food banks, fridges & groups.

In 2019 along with local farmers at Copas Farm, Iver & Peterley Farm, Great Missenden - we saved & used  30,000 portions of fruit & vegetables.

See BBC Countryfile on 6th October 2019 to see us - gleaning in action!
